What an exciting two days of sports.

Brett Favre - www.espn.comIn the Badger State, Packer fans mourn over the loss of quarterback Brett Favre.  Favre is the current record holder for just about every statistic a quarterback can hold including wins, passing yards, touchdown passes, 3 MVP awards, and oh yeah… he did it while starting 275 consecutive games.

Already the debate has sprung around whether or not he’ll come back or decide to play again.  I would like to think that he has more character than that.  I’d rather not see him go in and out of retirement like Michael Jordan or Roger Clemens.  Enjoy your time now, Brett.

Ovechkin - www.espn.comSpeaking of greatness, Boston Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas must be flailing in his dreams screaming, “Ovechkin!”.  In a 10-2 trouncing of the B’s, Ovechkin had a hat-trick… in the FIRST PERIOD.  He finished the night with four points total.

Giving up seven goals total, Thomas started the game, but was pulled twice.
